Pat (Granny) Wheeler, 86, of Memphis, MO passed away April 8, 2026. Pat was born December 16, 1939, in Willow Springs, MO. She graduated high school in Willow Springs, MO in 1957. She married Leland “Bud” Wheeler on December 24, 1975. Following her graduation, she worked at Rawlings and the shoe factory both in Willow Springs, MO. Following her move to Memphis, MO in 1984, Pat worked at Mom’s Place, The National Garment Factory, as well as the Junction Cafe, (where people bragged about her cooking) all in Memphis, MO. MEMPHIS — Scotland County was recognized Wednesday during the Scotland County Commission meeting at the Scotland County Courthouse for recording zero traffic fatalities in 2025, a milestone reached by only six counties statewide. MoDOT engineer Paula Gough presented the recognition and told commissioners that four of those six counties are located in northeast Missouri. Scotland County joined Lewis, Knox and Shelby counties in the region in posting zero traffic deaths during the year.
