Tina Peterson, 63, of Memphis, MO, passed away August 27, 2025 at her home in Memphis. Tina was born in Kirksville, MO to Clark and Mary (Peterson) Simpson on April 25, 1962. In February 1982 she was united in marriage to Lance Peterson and to this union three children were born.

Tina’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She loved her flowers and hummingbirds. She enjoyed spending time visiting with her neighbor Pat Willet and her friend Jessica Newcomer.

Tina was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children; a daughter Jennifer Talbert and husband Chris of Peculiar, MO; a daughter, Lacey Sallee and husband Clinton of Ot-tumwa, IA; a son, Derek Peterson and wife Jessica of Edina, MO; six grandchildren, Kayden Talbert, Lance Peterson, Annabelle Clark, Kelsie Dennis, Harrison Sallee, and Jasper Sallee; a sister, Lorie Holt of Springfield, MO; a brother, Steve Simpson and Kim Simerl of Memphis, MO; a sister Joni Campbell and husband Jim of Pleasant Hill, MO, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

As per her wishes cremation rites were accorded and there will be a Celebration of Life at the family farm south of Memphis at a later date.

Memorials in her memory may be to the Scotland County Cancer Fund, RAIL, or Oats Bus, and may be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St, Memphis, Missouri 63555.
