In Scotland County’s first year with a girls golf program, senior Keeley Brown had a season to remember. In six competitive rounds, Brown collected four medals. She was the individual medalist at Scotland County’s home meet against North Shelby. She was the individual medalist in a meet at Putnam County. She finished in 2nd place individually at the Lewis and Clark Conference Tournament. She finished in 13th place at the Class 1, District 3 tournament.
On Monday and Tuesday, Brown put a bow on her season by finishing in 46th place individually at the MSHSAA Class 1 Girls Golf State Championship. The tournament was held at Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton, MO. Brown shot rounds of 111 (Monday) and 103 (Tuesday) in cold and windy conditions. The State Championship featured 90 golfers, and the Highland Cougars captured the team title.
