Marsha Louise Monroe

   Marsha Louise Monroe, 74, of Memphis, Missouri passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family July 3, 2025.

    She was born January 28th, 1951 in Burlington, IA. The daughter of Leland and Mary Justice. She graduated from Scotland County High School in what she considered the best class that ever walked the halls, the class of 1969. Marsha attended Northeast Missouri State, now known as Truman State, hoping to be a high school history teacher.  Marsha married the love of her life, Kenny on October 15th 1977, he survives.

    Marsha worked many years for her father at Sears Roebuck and left to babysit and watch her children grow while staying home. She worked for National Garment Factory, Nelson Electric, Cook’s Men’s Store and finished her working years at Ketchum Heating and Cooling. Marsha loved people and working in public made her so happy. She attended First Christian Church until recently finding her faith stronger than ever at Richland Baptist Church. She felt she had truly found her home with this church and the little congregation that attended.

    Marsha was a seamstress from way back, she loved to make her daughters clothes, crochet blankets and give to others that needed a little love. She loved people beyond what can be measured, she enjoyed talking with strangers and friends alike. You always knew where you stood with Marsha, and if she loved you, she loved you with every ounce of her being. Enjoying a game of Dominoes with her family was always a welcome and entertaining activity during holidays or a weekend with family.

    In addition to her spouse of almost 48 years, Marsha is survived by: three daughters Melissa Monroe and partner Tessa Post of Memphis, MO, Heather Jansen and husband Brett of Quincy, IL, and Elizabeth Carper and husband Troy of Memphis, MO; Four grandchildren Gavin and Isabelle Jansen of Quincy, IL, Emma (Keaton) Carper and Paylin Carper of Memphis, MO; 3 brothers, Rick Justice of Independence, Anthony “Tony”  (Amy) Justice of Harrisburg, MO , Wiliam “Jobe” (Cindy) Justice of Memphis and 2 sisters, Pamela Ulry of Columbia and Cindy (Mark) Antal of Lancaster, MO; one brother-in-law Lynn (Danette) Monroe and sister-in-law Kim Brown of Kansas City, MO; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Richard and MaryNell Monroe, a bonus granddaughter, Haley Post, her brothers Ernest “Bud” Justice and Stanley Justice, 2 nephews Thomas Dean Justice, and Christopher Dean Justice.

    Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the Memphis Funeral Home in Memphis, Missouri.

    Interment will be in the Memphis Cemetery in Memphis, Missouri.
