The 2025 Scotland County Fair is set to bring a full week of entertainment, competition, and community spirit to Memphis, Missouri from July 5 through July 12. With a packed schedule of agricultural events, live music, and carnival rides, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
The fair kicks off Saturday, July 5, with the 4-H/FFA Horse Show at 10:30 a.m.
On Sunday, July 6, families can enjoy the 4-H/FFA Dog Show at 1:00 p.m., followed by a community Vesper Service at 6:00 p.m.
Monday, July 7, ushers in several events, including 4-H Shooting Sports at 8:00 a.m. and 4-H/FFA Trapshooting at 1:00 p.m. That evening, the spotlight will shine on local youth and leaders during the State Fair Farm Family recognition, 4-H Royalty, the Scotland County Fair Queen Contest, and Fairboard Scholarship presentations, starting at 6:00 p.m.
On Tuesday, July 8, Mutton Bustin’, returns at 6:30 p.m., where young cowboys and cowgirls get their moment to ride. The evening wraps up with the Ranch Rodeo at 7:00 p.m.
Livestock competitions continue on Wednesday, July 9, with the 4-H/FFA Swine Show at 8:00 a.m. and the Goat Show at 1:00 p.m. Mutton Bustin’ returns once again at 6:30 p.m., followed by the ever-popular Memphis Rodeo at 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, July 10, brings more friendly competition with the 4-H/FFA Small Animal Show at 8:00 a.m. and the 4-H/FFA Sheep Show at 1:00 p.m. The Kids & Kritters Show, sponsored by H&M Swine and Emily’s Pups, begins at 6:00 p.m. and is always a crowd favorite. Capping off the night is the X-Caliber Tractor Pull at 7:00 p.m., a high-powered event that draws big crowds every year.
Friday, July 11, kicks off with the 4-H/FFA Dairy and Beef Show at 8:00 a.m., followed by the Jr. Super Farmer Contest at 3:00 p.m. That evening, engines will roar, and metal will crunch during the Lunatic Promotions Demolition Derby at 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, July 12, marks one of the busiest days of the fair, starting with the Jr. Livestock Sale at 9:00 a.m. Later in the day, fairgoers can enjoy a live performance by Mike Zito from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., and then gear up for some racing action with Hot Laps beginning at 6:30 p.m. and Races to follow.
The fair winds down on Sunday, July 13, with Cowboy Church at 10:00 a.m.
Throughout the week, the PBJ Happee Days Shows Carnival will operate daily with rides and games included with a season pass or daily gate fee. Carnival hours run Tuesday through Friday from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. and again from 4:00 to 11:00 p.m.
The Beer Tent will be open nightly at 5:00 p.m., with earlier hours starting at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Katie (Miller) Beck from Surfside will be at the tent from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. on July 7 and 8. Daily entertainment at the Beer Tent begins at 8:00 p.m. Entertainment includes DJ Andy Middleton on July 7-8 and again on July 10-12 and Bootcut will take the stage on July 9.
July 5-7 is Free Gate! July 8-10 daily admission is $20.00 starting at 2:00 p.m., July 11 is $25.00 starting at 2:00 p.m., and July 12 is $25.00 starting at 10:00 a.m. Season Passes are $50.00 and are available at Rose Hardware, Community Bank of Memphis, Scotland County Extension Office, Memphis License Office, and Exchange Bank of NEMO.
Whether you’re showing livestock, enjoying live entertainment, or eating fair food with your family, the 2025 Scotland County Fair promises a week full of memories and hometown pride. With the theme “Stars, Stripes & Carnival Lights,” this year’s fair is shaping up to be one of the best yet.
