Payton Miller of Memphis received the Good Citizens Award from the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Jauflione Chapter at a luncheon in her honor on December 6, 2024.
The Good Citizens Award is presented by the DAR Jauflione Chapter to one high school student per year and recognizes and rewards individuals who possess good citizenship qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools and communities. Payton was selected by her teachers and peers because she demonstrates these qualities to an outstanding degree.
Payton was presented with a certificate, a financial award and pin by Wendy Jutte Eckman, Regent of the Jauflione Chapter.
Payton is the daughter of Robert and Christina Miller of Memphis, the granddaughter of Denise and “Doc” Wheeler of Memphis and the granddaughter of Vera Wilkins of Knoxville, Iowa. Payton is a senior at Scotland Country R-1.
