 EDNA MAE GUNDY 

Edna Mae Gundy, 86, of Rural Memphis, Missouri passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024 at the Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, Missouri. 

She was born September 30, 1938 in rural Missouri, the daughter of Harry Franklin and Sadie Ann Henry Miller. 

Edna attended several rural schools, including Miller School before graduating from the Memphis High School Class of 1956. 

On February 23,1958, at the First Christian Church in Memphis, Missouri, Edna married Paul Verne Gundy and to this union three children were born. 

Edna worked with her husband on the family farm for many, many years until his passing. 

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Memphis, Missouri, and was one of the Funeral Meal Ladies who helped serve funeral dinners for the church. 

She enjoyed gardening, putting together puzzles but most of all she loved watching her great grandkids play ball. Her family was very special to her. 

Edna is survived by two daughters; Phyllis Tracy of Brookfield, Missouri, Sherri Holt of Memphis, Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Julie Gundy; a sister; Dixie O’Bryan of Denver, Colorado; six grandchildren; Darren and Rachel Tracy of Georgia, Matthew Tracy and his fiancé Bobbie of Maryville, Missouri, Brandon and Charlotte Holt of Clayton, Illinois, Brad Holt and Kelsey Justice of Memphis, Missouri, Jake Gundy and Katie Gundy of Arkansas; seven great-grandchildren; Ava and Lily Holt, Hunter and Myah Holt and Daxton Robinson, Dyson and Noah Tracy, a sister-in-law, Maxine Robinson, long lifetime friends Adrianna & Gary Briggs, along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; Harry and Sadie Miller; her husband, Paul Gundy; a son, Steve Gundy; a son-in-law, Stacy Snyder; a sister, Beverly Will; a brother-inlaw, Jerry O’Bryan. 

A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the Memphis Funeral Home in Memphis, Missouri. 

Visitation will be from 9:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. Wednesday morning at the Memphis Funeral Home in Memphis, Missouri. 

Interment will be at the Friendship Cemetery, North of Crawford, Missouri. 

An expression of sympathy in memory of Edna Gundy may be left to the Friendship Cemetery Association. A memorial may be left at or mailed to the Memphis Funeral Home, 378 South Market Street Memphis, Missouri 63445.
