Lady Tigers Can’t Get Past Lady Eagles on the Road

The Knox County Lady Eagles held off the Scotland County Lady Tigers on Tuesday, February 6th, in a low scoring contest that took place in Edina, Missouri. Kwyn Hamlin scored 21 of Scotland County’s 30 points. Charlee Holland added 5 point

Scotland County fell behind early, trailing Knox County by a score of 17-11 at the end of the first quarter. Both teams scored 17 points in the second quarter to send the contest to halftime with a score of Knox County 34, Scotland County 28. The Tiger’s defense held the Eagles to 5 third quarter points, while adding 17 of their own, reclaiming a 6 point lead. Scotland County extended their lead in the fourth quarter to put the game away. Hunter Holt scored 8 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter to help the Tigers close out the contest. Vince Dale added 17 points of his own, shooting 5 of 7 from the foul line.

Charlee Holland and Kwyn Hamlin each scored 7 points, but the Lady Hornets scoring attack was too much for the Lady Tigers to handle. Lilly Frederick and Emma Harvey each added 4 points for Scotland County.

The Tigers utilized a balanced scoring attack to take down the Hornets of Westran. Hunter Holt scored 14 points, Vince Dale added 13 points, Tayte Richmond scored 9 points, and Marcus Smith tallied 7 points in the hard fought matchup. Sophomore, Levi Stott stepped up to add a couple of clutch three pointers in the deciding moments of regulation and overtime.

Charlee Holland led Scotland County in scoring with 13 points, on a night where the Lady Tigers offense had a hard time getting anything going against Paris.
Tigers Lose by Two in Low Scoring Contest at Paris

The Tigers fell behind early on the road against Paris. Scotland County trailed the Coyotes 15-7 at the end of the first quarter. The Tigers were able to narrow the deficit to 2 points at the end of the second quarter, sending the game to halftime with a score of Paris 21, Scotland County 19. Paris extended their lead to 4 points by the end of the third quarter, and were able to fight off Scotland County in the fourth quarter to win the game by a final score of Paris 44, Scotland County 42. Corbin Blessing led the Scotland County scoring attack with 16 points. Tayte Richmond also reached double figures, scoring 10 points on the night.
Lady Tigers Take Down Lady Hornets in Overtime

Emma Harvey led the Scotland County scoring attack with 12 points on the road against the Lady Hornets of Atlanta. The Lady Tigers utilized the inside presence of Harvey, and leaned on their post play and a more balanced scoring attack Monday night on the road. Kwyn Hamlin also scored in double figures for Scotland County, adding 10 points. Charlee Holland added 9 points, and Lilly Frederick tallied 7 points in the Lady Tigers victory.
Hornets Knock off Tigers for Second Time in Two Weeks

Monday night’s contest on the road at Atlanta, Missouri yielded a similar result to the consolation matchup in the final round of the La Plata Invitational. Corbin Blessing scored 14 points and Vince Dale scored 13 points for Scotland County, but the Tigers came up short against the Hornets on the road.
