ROGER LYNN ROBINSON

Roger Lynn Robinson, 74, of Memphis, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

He was born on December 17, 1950, to Lester Wayne Robinson and Patricia Maxine (Biggs) Shelley.

Roger was raised in Granger and Memphis, Missouri, and graduated from Scotland County High School in 1968.

On March 28, 1973, Roger married Pattie Kay Thrasher.

Together they built a beautiful life and raised two sons, Christopher Lynn and Ryan Keith Robinson Roger devoted 42 years of hard work and dedication to Sheller Globe Automotive Manufacturing in Keokuk, Iowa, before retiring in 2020 to enjoy his many hobbies. He had a lifelong passion for classic cars—buying, restoring, and showing them at car shows alongside his family. Roger also loved watching NASCAR, cheering on the Missouri Tigers, Kansas City Chiefs, Scotland County Tigers, following St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and proudly supporting his granddaughters in all of their endeavors.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Pattie Robinson of Memphis, Missouri; sons Christopher (Laura) Robinson of St. Albans, Missouri, and Ryan Robinson of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; sister Linda Shannan of Arbela, Missouri; brother Leroy (Margie) Robinson of Storm Lake, Iowa; granddaughters Emma and Chloe Robinson of St. Albans, Missouri; mother-in law Corinne Thrasher of Memphis, Missouri; sisters-in-law Melissa (Rusty) Anders of Downing, Missouri, and Sandy Thrasher of Gibbs, Missouri; brother-in-law John (Amy) Thrasher of Winter Springs, Florida; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who will miss him dearly.

Roger was preceded in death by his father Lester Robinson; mother, Patricia Shelley; stepfather, Junior Shelley; brothers, Larry and David Robinson; father-in-law, Kenny Thrasher; and sisters-in-law, Brenda Thrasher, Kathie Thrasher, and Pam Tripp.

Roger will be remembered for his steady kindness, strong work ethic, and the love he shared so freely with his family and friends.

A visitation and memorial service will be held on Saturday November 1, 2025, at the Memphis Funeral Home from 1:00-3:00pm with service to follow at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, any monetary donations can be directed to the Scotland County Antique Fair Car Show and Scotland County Speedway.
