The Scotland County Lady Tigers (7-9) welcomed the Atlanta Lady Hornets (4-12) to town on Thursday evening. The Lady Tigers pushed the pace early. Displaying a very improved full court press on defense that featured active hands and gave the Lady Hornets trouble early on. When the Lady Tigers were able to force turnovers, Kwyn Hamlin and Charlee Holland made a point to get downhill and attack the rim. When the Lady Tigers were unable to get to the rim, their penetrate and kick style offense was clicking on all cylinders. Hamlin, Holland, and Lilly Frederick combined for 6 made three point field goals on the night to go along with a copious amount of mid-range jumpers. Scotland County’s defense and a good shooting night proved to be too much for the Lady Hornets to overcome. Scotland County defeated Atlanta by a final score of 61-39.

– Lilly Frederick scored 14 points
– Charlee Holland added 12 points
