Scotland County Primary Election Results
August 6, 2024
Scotland County, Missouri, held its primary elections on August 6, 2024, with all precincts reporting. The total number of ballots cast was 892, representing a voter turnout of 33.38%.
Republican Party Results:
In the U.S. Senate race, Josh Hawley ran unopposed and received 646 votes. Sam Graves led the U.S. Representative District 6 race with 636 votes, followed by Brandon Kleinmeyer with 54 votes, Freddie Griffin Jr. with 30 votes, and Weldon Wray Woodward with 9 votes.
For Governor, Mike Kehoe led with 449 votes, followed by John R. “Jay” Ashcroft with 154 votes, Bill Eigel with 108 votes, Chris Wright with 10 votes, Darrell Leon McClanahan III with 18 votes, Amber Thomsen with 10 votes, Robert James Olson with 2 votes, Jeremy Gundel with 4 votes, and Darren L. Grant with 1 vote.
In the Lieutenant Governor race, Lincoln Hough received 250 votes, followed by Holly Rehder with 144 votes, Dave Wasinger with 131 votes, Tim Baker with 76 votes, Matthew E. Porter with 38 votes, and Paul Berry III with 23 votes.
For Secretary of State, Denny Hoskins led with 133 votes, followed by Mike Carter with 115 votes, Shane Schoeller with 115 votes, Mary Elizabeth Coleman with 91 votes, Valentina Gomez with 41 votes, Jamie Corley with 40 votes, Dean Plocher with 58 votes, and Adam J. Schwadron with 22 votes.
For State Treasurer, Vivek Malek received 211 votes, Andrew Koenig 191 votes, Cody Smith 137 votes, Lori Rook 95 votes, Tina Goodrick 24 votes, and Karan Pujji 8 votes.
For Attorney General, Andrew Bailey received 434 votes, while Will Scharf received 224 votes.
Greg Sharpe ran unopposed for State Representative District 4 and received 626 votes.
In the race for Western District Commissioner, David Wiggins received 231 votes, while James Spray received 206 votes.
Bryan M. Whitney ran unopposed for Sheriff and received 639 votes. Michelle L. Vangorkom ran unopposed for Assessor and received 683 votes. Erick Byrn ran unopposed for Coroner and received 648 votes. Brent Rockhold received 253 votes for Associate Commissioner Eastern District, while Tom Glass received 87 votes. Oleva Frederick received 536 votes for Public Administrator, followed by Serena Stott with 214 votes.
Democratic Party Results:
In the U.S. Senate race, Lucas Kunce received 43 votes, Karla May 25 votes, December L. Harmon 9 votes, and Mita Biswas 2 votes. For Governor, Crystal Quade led with 38 votes, followed by Eric Morrison with 21 votes, Mike Hamra with 13 votes, Sheryl Gladney with 3 votes, and Hollis L. Laster with 3 votes.
In the race for Lieutenant Governor, Richard Brown received 48 votes, while Anastasia Syes received 29 votes. Barbara Phifer led the Secretary of State race with 33 votes, followed by Monique Williams with 28 votes, and Haley Jacobson with 16 votes. Pam May led the U.S. Representative District 6 race with 51 votes, while Rich Gold received 26 votes. Mark Osmack ran unopposed for State Treasurer and received 72 votes. Elad Jonathan Gross ran unopposed for Attorney General and received 70 votes.
Melissa Jo Viloria ran unopposed for State Representative District 4 and received 72 votes.
Libertarian Party Results:
No votes were cast for Libertarian candidates in Scotland County.
Constitutional Amendments:
For Constitutional Amendment No. 1, 364 votes were cast in favor and 448 votes were cast against. For Constitutional Amendment No. 4, 404 votes were cast in favor and 389 votes were cast against.
Scotland County Nursing Home District Question:
The Scotland County Nursing Home District question received 592 votes in favor and 258 votes against.
