RAYMOND E. HOWARD
Raymond E. Howard, 94, of Rural Memphis, Missouri, passed away Monday, July 23, 2024 at the Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, Missouri.
He was born June 28, 1930, in Rural Scotland County, Missouri, South of Memphis the son of Carl Patrick and Ethel Ellen Davis Howard.
He attended Rutledge School and graduated from the Rutledge High school from the Class of 1949.
On December 21, 1974, in Memphis Missouri, Ray married Roberta Rowe.
He honorably served his country in the United States Airforce where he worked as a mechanic and owned and operated Ray’s Radiator and Small Engine Shop off the square in Memphis, Missouri. He was a member of the Kahoka VFW and had been a member of the Memphis Masonic Lodge.
Ray enjoyed life, he could be found sharing a story and a beer with the hunters and the boys.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta Howard of nearly 50 years of Memphis, Missouri; a son, a daughter, a granddaughter, grandson and numerous friends and acquaintances.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and one sister.
Ray’s wishes were to be cremated and there will be an open visitation for those wishing to sign his register book the week of July 29th- August 2nd, 2024.
Private Family interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Northwest of Memphis, Missouri at a later date.
An expression of sympathy in memory of Ray Howard may be left to the Scotland County Fire Department or the Donor’s Choice.
