The Scotland County Fair will kick off this year on Saturday, July 6, at the Scotland County Fairgrounds. The fair is packed with a variety of events for all spectators to enjoy! You do not want to miss out on the carnival, food, games, entertainment, and 4-H and FFA livestock shows!
Season Passes for the fair this year are $55. Daily passes vary in price during fair week, which runs July 6 to July 14. Starting with Saturday, July 6, Sunday, July 7, and Monday, July 8, there is no fee to enter the Gates.
On Tuesday, July 9, Wednesday, July 10, and Thursday, July 11, Daily Admission is $20 at the Gate starting at 2:00 p.m. Daily Admission for Friday, July 12 is $25. Saturday, July 13 will also be $25 at the Gate starting at 10:00 a.m.
The Scotland County Fair will start off with the 4-H and FFA Horse Show at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6.
On Sunday, July 7, come out and support more of the 4-H and FFA kids at the Dog Show at 1:00 p.m. A Vesper Service will be held that evening at 6:00 p.m.
Monday, July 8, will start with the 4-H Shooting Sports at 8:00 a.m. and the Trap 4-H Shooting Sports will begin that afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
At 6:00 p.m., the State Fair Farm Family will be named, 4-H Royalty will be selected, and the Fairboard Scholarships will be awarded. The Scotland County Fair Queen Contest will also take place that evening.
A bonfire will kick off the fair at the south end of the Grounds at 8:00 p.m. The Beer Tent will have a Theme Night with DJ Andy Middleton on Monday. Join in the “Making the Beer Tent Great Again!” by wearing your best Red, White, & Blue. Cash prizes will be given out to the best dressed. The Beer Tent will be open daily at 5:00 p.m. and open Saturday at noon.
On Tuesday, July 9, go check out the 4-H and FFA Art Hall to see all of the exhibitor’s projects. The Art Hall is open at 1:00 p.m.
Tuesday will be a fun treat for kids at the fair! $5.00 Pony Rides will be held during the evening. Also, do not miss out on the Mutton Bustin’ at 6:30 p.m., which is sponsored by the Scotland County Livestock Auction.
The Ranch Rodeo will begin at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening. The Beer Tent entertainment for the evening will be Celebrates DJ & Entertainment.
On Wednesday, July 10, the 4-H and FFA exhibitors will take part in the Swine Show at 8:00 a.m. The Goat Show will start at 1:00 p.m.
Wednesday evening will start out at 6:30 p.m. with more Mutton Bustin’ and the TNT Rodeo will light up the night at 7:00 p.m. The Outlaw DJ, PT Woods will be entertaining at the Beer Tent that evening.
On Thursday, July 11, the exhibitors will start out early with the 4-H and FFA Small Animal Show at 8:00 a.m. The Sheep Show will be that afternoon at 1:00 p.m. $5.00 Pony Rides will be available again Thursday evening.
Do not miss out on Kids & Kritters at 6:00 p.m. This event is sponsored by H & M Swine (Kenny & Dana Hauk, Lucas & Emily Mauck) and Emily’s Pups – Emily Mauck.
The X-Caliber Tractor Pull will pull in a crowd Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Entertainment at the Beer Tent will be Mitch Prather.
On Friday, July 12, the 4-H and FFA Dairy Show, Beef Show, and Bucket Calf Show will begin at 8:00 a.m. Come out to see the Jr. Super Farmer Contest at 3:00 p.m.
Friday evening the fairgrounds will be packed to see the Lunatic Promotions Demo Derby at 7:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday entertainment at the Beer Tent will be DJ Andy Middletown.
On Saturday, July 13, come out to support the exhibitors at the Jr. Livestock Sale at 9:00 a.m. Grab your friends and head on over to the Cornhole tournament at 1:00 p.m.
Some new entertainment this year is up and coming country singer Caden Wilson! Caden will be performing from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening. This event is sponsored by Musgrove Farms.
Hot Laps will begin Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. and the Races will follow with Modifieds, Stock Cars, B Mods, 4 Cylinders, and Hobby Stocks!
Wrapping up this year’s fair will be Cowboy Church at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 14.
The PBJ Happee Days Shows Carnival will be at the fairgrounds from Tuesday, July 9 through Saturday, July 13. The Carnival will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
Saturday Carnival hours will be from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The carnival is included in the season pass or daily gate fee!
