Memphis FFA Girls Trap Team Takes First Place at Green City & Milan Competition

The Scotland County High School Memphis FFA Trap teams were in action with three shoots in one week. On Wednesday, September 16, 2020, the teams competed at the Paris FFA Shoot. There were 55 boys teams and 4 girls teams competing at Paris. The Girls Team brought home the 2nd place trophy, while the Boys A Team earned 4th place. On Saturday, September 19, 2020, the trap teams competed at Bosco’s in Lancaster at the Green City & Milan FFA Chapter Trap Shoot. That competition hosted 31 boys teams and 3 girls teams. The Memphis FFA Girls Team brought home the championship trophy. On Sunday, September 20, 2020, the Memphis FFA Trap Teams hosted the Annual FFA Alumni Trap Shoot. Participants from all around the region, of all ages and all skill levels enjoyed shooting many different shooting disciplines-Trap, Wobble Trap, 5-Stand and Sporting Clays at Little Fox River Sporting Clays north of Memphis. Members of the Memphis FFA Trap Teams earned many honors from the event. In the Student Division, Eli Kigar earned Second Place as Top Shooter in all disciplines. Kale Creek earned Third Place as Top Shooter in all disciplines. In the Student Trap Division, Elsie Kigar took home the First Place Trophy. Kadon Chabert took home the First Place Trophy in Wobble Trap. Eric Mohr took home the First Place Trophy in 5-Stand and Hayden Long took home the First Place Trophy in Sporting Clays.
The Memphis FFA Trap Teams will be in action again on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at Prairie Grove Shotgun Sports in Columbia with a 2 pm line time as participants in the Centralia FFA Trap Team Shoot.
