Palmer Leads Dominant Sprint Showing Scotland Co. Relays

The Clark County girls delivered one of their strongest team performances of the season Thursday, finishing second overall with 156 points, powered by a dominant day from freshman standout Cabell Palmer and a balanced effort across relays, distance, and field events.

Palmer turned in a meet to remember, sweeping the 100, 200, and 400-meter dashes, establishing herself as one of the top sprinters in the area. She opened the day with a win in the 100 (13.55), followed by victories in the 200 (28.56) and 400 (1:05.47), accounting for a major portion of Clark County’s team score.

The Lady Indians also leaned on their depth. The 4×400 relay team capped the meet with a win, while the 4×100, 4×200, and 4×800 teams all placed second, showing strength across sprint and distance relays.

On the boys side, Clark County finished sixth with 43 points, highlighted by solid distance performances and contributions across multiple events. Braedyn Clark led the distance crew with a third-place finish in the 3200, while Conner Smith added points in multiple events including hurdles and jumps.
