The Memphis Police Department and Scotland County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a burglary at the smoke shop Fire Palace located at 557 East Grand in Memphis.
The business was burglarized at approximately 12:30 a.m. early Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
According to Memphis Police Captain Bill Holland, entry was made into the business by breaking the lock with a rock, and forcing the back door open under the cover of night.
Once inside, the burglar or burglars stole over $2,600 in products including hemp derived products and cigarettes.
According to Holland, one juvenile is suspected of the burglary and local law enforcement is working the Juvenile Office on the investigation.
Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to report it to the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office by calling (660)465-2106.
