The Scotland County Lady Tigers kicked off the Class 2 District 6 Girls Tournament on Monday February 19th. The Lady Tigers traveled to Schuyler County to take on the second seeded Schuyler County Lady Rams. The Lady Rams took an early lead against the lady tigers, outscoring Scotland County 11-8 in the first quarter. Schuyler County pushed the pace and extended their lead in the second and third quarter, extending their lead to 20 with a quarter to play. The Lady Rams outscored the Lady Tigers 19-16 in the fourth quarter to beat Scotland County by a final score of Schuyler County 66, Scotland County 38. The Scotland County Lady Tigers finished their season with a record of 4-21.

The Scotland County Tigers boys basketball team also traveled to Schuyler County High School and were featured in the four/five seed matchup with the Milan Wildcats. Scotland County took advantage of the Wildcats zone defense by capitalizing in the mid-range. By the end of the contest, it would have been hard to determine if SC stood for Scotland County or short corner. The Tigers took a five point lead at the end of the first quarter. Extended their lead to eight points at halftime. Pushed the deficit to thirteen points at the end of the third quarter, and would go on to defeat Milan by a final score of Scotland County 65, Milan 55. Vince Dale and Tayte Richmond both scored 22 points in the contest.

Scotland County advanced in the Class 2 District 6 tournament by defeating the Wildcats of Milan. Scotland County traveled back to Schuyler County High School on Thursday evening to take on top-seeded Canton in the tournament semi-final matchup.
Canton came out strong in the first quarter, pushing the pace with full court pressure and shooting the ball well from beyond the arc. Scotland County fell behind 12-25 at the end of the first quarter. Canton went on to extend their lead in the second quarter of play, making the Scotland County deficit 24 in a high scoring contest. Canton continued to push the pace in the second half, gradually extending their lead to 30. Scotland County would lean on their group of young Tigers to play the faster pace with the top-seeded team in the district. Utilizing some full court pressure of their own. Ultimately the deficit would be to deep, and Canton would go on to beat Scotland County by a final score of Canton 80, Scotland County 50. Senior Hunter Holt finished his high school basketball career with another team high 14 points in the contest. Vince Dale added 10 points. Layne Stott scored 6. Levi Stott, Carter Clatt, and Tayte RIchmond each scored 5 points.
