Orin R. Sanders, 67, of Memphis, Missouri, passed away, September 3, 2020, at his home in Memphis. The son of John Henry and Olive Marie (Welch) Sanders, he was born February 3, 1953 in Butte Montana.
He was a simple man and loved simple things like rock music, being with his family, grandchildren, and friends along with staying busy doing things around the house to improve where he lived.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and following the Hawk Eyes along with listening to his music.
He moved to Memphis in 2009 from Bloomfield, Iowa and would always make time to visit with friends while he took care of the yard work and his perpetual care of his home.
Orin was a family man able to find employment to support them, the latest of which being employed at All States Equipment, in Memphis, Performance Pipe at Bloomfield, Iowa and The Gamble Law Firm in Des Moines, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his grand parents and parents.
He is survived by his wife: Donna Sanders of Memphis, Missouri, his children: Timothy Wiremam, Formally from Memphis, Orin (Joey) Sanders (Brittany) of Centerville, Iowa, Xavier Sanders of Memphis, Missouri; Step-son: Travis Cunningham, and Step Daughter, Heather Cunningham; grandchildren: Zoey Sanders Moravia Iowa, Journie Sanders, Gideon Sanders , Centerville Iowa, and Maria Wiggins, of Lawrence Kansas; his siblings: John Sanders (Mary Beth) of Seymore, Illinois, Robert Sanders(Gail) of Savanna, Tennessee, Mike Sanders (Cindy) of Geneva, Iowa, Cheryl Butler (Dan) Iowa Falls, Iowa, and Carol Wood (Randy Alm) Popejoy, Iowa.
Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Scotland County Cancer Fund in care of the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St., Memphis, Missouri 63555.
Memorial chapel services were held Friday morning, 9/11/20, at 11:00 A.M. at the Payne Funereal Chapel in Memphis with Pastor Jack Sumption officiating.
