I thought April first was over but this note was left by John Doe:
“Today, April 29th, a 100 foot tower was built on the northside of Rutledge by the ball diamond. This tower was built to watch fires in Florida so a very good pair of binoculars will be required. This tower will serve as a bed and breakfast in the summer (if you bring your own breakfast) and a deer stand for hunting in the fall. It is also a good place to spot snipe and sasquatches or even an occasional bigfoot.
I was told the tower has 15 staircase, 14 landings, 135 steps. Erwin Zimmerman took me out to see the Tower. Then to see the house and lake down the road. Fixed up like a resort.”
