Paul Nolt Zimmerman, 89, of Rutledge, Missouri, passed away from this life July 3, 2020, at his home in Rutledge, Missouri, surrounded by family.
Paul was born on July 25, 1930, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, the son of Abraham and Ada Zimmerman.
On November 8,1953 in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, Paul married Lydia Martin.
In March 1973, Paul and Lydia moved to Missouri to make their home. He was a dairy farmer and owned and operated the “Zimmerman Store” in Rutledge, Missouri, since 1974. They were members of the Millport Mennonite Church south of Rutledge, Missouri.
Paul is survived by his wife, Lydia of Rutledge, Missouri; five sons, Glenn of Womelsdorf, Pennsylvania, Irwin and Frances, Paul Jr. and Elaine, Luke and Savilla, Nathan and Mary Joyce all of Rutledge, Missouri; four daughters, Ellanor Zimmerman, Verna Haldeman of Rutledge, Missouri, Anna Zimmerman of Maysville, West Virginia and Rachel and Stanley Weiler of Edina, Missouri; two daughters-in-law, Sandra (Leonard) of Queen City, Missouri and Lucinda (Enos) of Greentop, Missouri; a brother, Titus and Geraldine Zimmerman; two sisters, Ada and Lloyd Sensenig, Anna and Marvin Rieff; a foster sister, Carmen Forney; four sisters-in-law, Edith (Jonas) Zimmerman, Julia (George) Zimmerman, Irma (Enos) Zimmerman, Alma (David) Zimmerman. Also surviving are sixty-three grandchildren; sixty-six great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Leonard and Enos; a son-in-law, Harry Haldeman; nine brothers and six sisters-in-law, Jonas, Noah and Joanna, Abram and Edna, Harvey and Louella, Levi and Leah, George, Enos, Ivan and Marian, David, and Kathy Zimmerman; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary, Alta, Frances and Amos Zimmerman and two grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at 9:30 a.m. at the Millport Mennonite Church south of Rutledge, Missouri.
Visitation was Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at the Hillcrest Mennonite Community Center south of Memphis, Missouri.
Clergy will be Carl Hoover, Abner Oberholtzer, Charles Zimmerman and Calvin Hoover. Pall Bearers will be Glenn Zimmerman, Irwin Zimmerman, Paul Jr. Zimmerman, Luke Zimmerman, Nathan Zimmerman and Stanley Weiler.
Interment will be in the Millport Mennonite Church cemetery south of Rutledge, Missouri.
