Local Groups Moving Forward With Youth, Livestock Portions of 2020 Fair Schedule
Plans are moving forward with the Scotland County 4-H and FFA Livestock Shows despite recent news that the 2020 Scotland County Fair had been canceled.
Youth Program Associate Kristy Eggleston-Wood with the University of Missouri Extension reported that the shows are planned for July 5th – 11th and will be held at the Bible Grove Arena instead of the fairgrounds.
A meeting is scheduled for June 24th to finalize details for the program being put together by local 4-H groups, the Memphis FFA and the University of Missouri Extension.
Eggleston-Wood indicated the formatting would likely be very similar to the standard fair schedule, featuring the royalty contests and all of the livestock shows with social distancing guidelines being implemented as part of the ongoing battle against the Coronavirus.
