KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — Truman State University has released the names of students who graduated following the spring semester.
Chayton Cerroni, Olivia Harris and Randi Slaughter of Memphis all received their degrees. Rachel Duzan of Memphis earned the valedictorian honors as she graduated with summa cum laude honors which honors graduates with a grade point average above 3.9.
While degrees were awarded at their normal time, Truman’s commencement ceremony was rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is now planned for 7 p.m. Aug. 1 at Stokes Stadium in Kirksville.
Founded in 1867, Truman is Missouri’s public liberal arts and sciences university. Truman has the highest graduation rate among the state’s four-year public colleges and universities. U.S. News & World Report has rated Truman as the No. 1 public university in the Midwest region for 23 consecutive years, and Washington Monthly recognized Truman as the No. 10 master’s university in the nation.
