Victoria Jean (Vickie) Mauck, age 65 of rural Downing, MO passed away Monday, June 1, 2020 at her home. She was born November 16, 1954, in Quincy, IL, the daughter of Clifford and Delores “Dodie” Hess Leftwich. She was united in marriage to John Dennis Mauck on September 22, 1977, in Baring, MO.
Surviving are her husband John Dennis Mauck of Downing, MO; three sons, Mathew L. Whitaker of Downing, MO, James R. (Stacie) Whitaker of Memphis, MO, and John Lucas (Emily) Mauck of Memphis, MO; one daughter, Stephanie D. (Bert) Morrow of Novinger, MO; two brothers Clifford “Rusty” (Cindy) Leftwich of Lewistown, MO, and Jay (Ruby) Leftwich of Maywood, MO; one sister, Michelle “Mickie” (Steve) Hudnut of Ewing, MO; thirteen grandchildren, Logan D. Morrow, Victoria “Tori” Whitaker, Kaitlyn (Whitaker) Miller, Avery (Whitaker) Rockhold, Tanner J. Morrow, Anthony J. Whitaker, Clifford M. Whitaker, Marisa D. Morrow, Holly S. Mauck, John “Eli” Mauck, Reah R. Mauck Alaynna J. Whitaker, Addley D. Whitaker; two great-grandchildren, Oakley J. Rockhold and Dennis M. Miller; several brothers and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law.
Vickie graduated from Highland High School. She was employed for 29 years as a cook at Scotland County High School. Vickie was a hard worker and loved her family, cooking and spending time with her children, grandchildren and family. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved going to the boat and Christmas shopping with her sister.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 4, 2020, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Reverend Carol Davenport officiated the services. Burial was in the Memphis Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Randy Mauck, Jody Mauck, Richard Mauck, Darin Stice, Greg Straus and Keith High. Honorary bearers were Larry Thompson, John Brown and Stevie Hudnut.
