What I really like about the above verse…is that it’s true. We ordinaryers get to believe in our God who is beyond all that we know, ask, or think. God knows stuff… and He surely knows how… the how of everything.
Over the years…and decades…I have returned to and relied upon these six words in Luke 1:37 to get me through confusing times and bewildering moments. I say to you, “Do not be discouraged in these challenging moments of many struggles and few apparent solutions. God can handle EVERYTHING!”
Throughout my ministry, my plate was filled with extremes. Trouble spots and bombarding threats were the norm of the month; if not the week. One does not reach a point where experience solves because the stakes of conflict grow steadily higher.
These seem to be in place as if to convince us that we will finally run out of our own self-made answers. And fortunately for each of us… we eventually will.
Many stand beside you in your uncertainty. Too, we stand with you during your grief. And, together, we offer increasing praise to God because He has dealt with our biggest disruptions and put them in their place.
Yes, Jesus nailed it well with his words before he was ever nailed to the Cross. Nothing will be impossible with God. Nothing. Not. One. Thing.
Shall we permit our hearts to smile a bit today?
