The Sandhill Cemetery Association met in Memphis on March 14, 2020 at the United Methodist Church basement to discuss the care and finances of the cemetery.
Chairman Darrell Shultz called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. by asking for the minutes of the February 23, 2019 meeting to be read. Nancy McClamroch read the minutes as made available by Secretary Paige McClamroch. Mitch McClamroch made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Darrell Shultz. Motion passed.
Nancy McClamroch presented the Treasurer’s report. Total income from 2/7/2019 to 2/4/2020 was $2,711.63, with total expenses of $591.62. Total of all accounts is $26,905.39. Mitch McClamroch made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report. Darrell Shultz seconded. Motion passed.
In new business: Mitch McClamroch is to check with a couple of people about an underground locator to find unmarked gravesites.
Connie Ward will continue to mow the cemetery. Nancy McClamroch made a motion to raise payment to $100 for each mowing. Mitch McClamroch seconded. Motion passed.
Nancy McClamroch reported back to the board about what it would take to get possession of the money that is held by the County Clerk. It would all have to be used and reported back to the County Commissioners when all had been used (mowing, etc).
Mitch McClamroch made a motion, seconded by Darrell Shultz to do what needs to be done to get a new sign and to get it up by Memorial Day. Motion passed.
The next Sandhill Cemetery Association meeting will be March 13, 2021 at the United Methodist Church basement.
Mitch McClamroch made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Darrell Shultz. Motion passed.
