Sew & Go Quilt Guild Hosts Monthly Meetings

The Sew & Go Quilt Guild met at the Downing Christian Church on December 10th.

Minutes were read and approved. Jeannie Childress gave treasurer’s report.

The guild will be having  meetings the next six months in Memphis at the United Methodist Church.

The January meeting program will be quilting hints and tips.

Elaine Burkholder distributed another part of the moon glow pattern to members.

Advice was given about when doing circular paper piecing to always back stitch.

Show & Tell was next. Those showing work were Jill Wilson, Debbie Payne, and Susan Chidester.

The meeting concluded with the group’s Christmas party. Some super duper fun games were played, including Jeopardy. Team Snowman, which consisted of Jill Wilson, Jeannie Mayfield, Janet Bryant, Jo Ann Shultz, and Angela Neese, was the winner. Guests enjoyed lots of good food with everyone contributing to the meal for the Christmas party.

January the Sew & Go Quilt Guild met at the United Methodist Church on January 14th.

Susan Chidester called the meeting to order due to absence of Barbara Blessing.

Treva Wittstock and Connie Barnes were in charge of food. It was delicious. Jeannie Childress gave the treasurer’s report. Minutes were read and approved.

Tina Newcomb won the grab bag gift.

Barbara and Jill Wilson gave the program on helpful hints and tricks. Wow a lot of awesome things we learned.

The next program will be in May. We will learn to do a block with crayons.
