Rutledge Woman, Children Hurt in Crash in Knox County

A Rutledge woman and two juvenile passengers in her vehicle were injured in a one-vehicle crash in Knox County on Tuesday, January 14th.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Jessica C. Shulatz, 30, was southbound on Old Lake Ave two miles north of Edina, when she lost control of the 2010 Ford F150 she was driving due to the icy road conditions. The vehicle traveled off the leftside of the roadway and struck several trees.

Shultaz suffered moderate injuries in the accident. A nine year-old female juvenile also suffered moderate injuries while a six year old female juvenile passenger suffered minor injuries. All three were transported by private vehicle to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville for treatment of their injuries.

The crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.

The vehicle sustained total damage in the crash and was removed from the scene by Jim’s Auto Repair of Knox City.
