Thirty-four persons gathered at HUD Housing Saturday, December 22, for the Woods Christmas dinner and activities. Santa didn’t make an appearance but no one seemed to notice since the latest addition to the family, Master Colton Woods, was doing a fine job of holding the attention of those present. (Colton is the new-born son of Nichole and Stacy Woods). That little guy was really happy to meet his many relatives.
Fried chicken, along with mashed potatoes and gravy, arrived shortly after noon, hot from the local deli. Don’t know who first thought it up, but catering that part of the dinner seems to be a popular idea lately. Veggies, salads, and desserts were in abundance and enjoyed by all.
Most just visited, but cards were played by some. Those who attended were Ivan and Virginia Woods; Randy Woods; Karen Shippen; Kevin, Debbie, and Matthew Woods; Buzz, Faith Ann, Merrit, and Halle Miller; Chas. Woods; Janet Graham, Stacy, Nichole, and Colton Woods, all from Memphis.
Emily Woods, Anthony and Bruce Smith, James, and Kim, Arbela; Tuffy Woods, Milton, IA; Hollis and Connie Woods, Keokuk, IA; Johnnie Morrison, Alexandria; Ariel and Isabella Johnson and Brooklyn Rader, Jon, Sam, and Shannon Rader, Novinger; Bonnie Schultz, Kirksville; Jenna Fuller, Des Moines; Heather Woods and Matt Cowan, Minneapolis, MN.
