In an effort to introduce additional golfers to the nine-hole grass green course, Timber Ridge Golf Course has announced a special membership drive in 2019.
Current members who invite a new member to join the golf course will see 2019 membership dues nearly halved. Both the current member and the new member will be joined for just $250 each. That compares to the normal rate of $395 for an individual and $475 for a family.
New in 2019, the course is also allowing kids 15 and under to play for free with a paid adult, limit two kids per adult.
The 2019 membership dues were due on March 15th.
With warmer temperatures, golfers will be set to hit the course. Timber Ridge offers a Monday night scramble at 6 p.m. Tuesday night is ladies’ league at 6 p.m. and Thursday evenings feature men’s league at 6 p.m.
The tournament schedule will kick off on May 10th with the annual Rotary Club John Ed Luther Memorial Tournament.
A two-couple scramble tourney will be held May 26th with a four-man calcutta tourney scheduled for June 2nd.
The annual Father’s Day Tourney is June 16th with the course hosting the NEMO Golf event the following week June 20-23.
On July 7th, TRGC will host a two-man 27-hole tournament, with a Ladies’ Scramble event set for July 21 before NEMO Golf returns to the course July 25-28.
Senior golfers will hit the course August 16 for the Seniors two-man scramble. TRGS will host a two-couple scramble event on August 18.
The annual course fundraiser will be held September 6th with the J & J Ag four-man scramble before the season comes to a close September 29th in the solo Chili Open.
Course officers for the 2019 include president Kris Lister, vice president Dave Shalley, secretary Mike Frazier, treasurer Kevin Small, and directors Doug Shalley, Corvin Drummond, Travis Trueblood, Royce Cook, Steve Simpson and Derek Weber.
