After a big win last week over Clark County, the Scotland County elementary football team had to rally from behind to beat Knox County in Memphis on October 10th.
The Tiger Cubs trailed 8-0 with less than a minute left in the first half when Hayden Long connected with Kabe Hamlin for a 65-yard TD pass.
Alex Long returned a punt for a score and added a rushing touchdown in the second half as SCR-I pulled away for the 28-14 victory.
Coach Jason Emel credited middle linebacker Zane See for shutting down the Knox County rushing attack and helping turn the tide.
Scotland County will close out the elementary football season on Saturday in Kirksville. The fifth grade game will start at 5 p.m. followed by fourth grade play. The sixth grade contest will close out the evening.
