The Tiger Cub Youth Football program will kick-off in August and organizers are announcing some important dates for the players and their parents.
Sign-up night will be August 8, 2017 in the High School Commons. There are three separate sessions for each grade level. Each session will also include equipment handout and a parent/player meeting. The first session will start at 6:00 p.m. for sixth graders. The session for fifth graders is at 6:30 and 4th grade players will meet at 7:00 p.m.
Parents will receive a sing-up form, T-shirt order form (optional), and a physical form. All players must receive a physical before they are allowed to play due to league rules and player safety.
The first day of practice will be held Monday, August 21st from 5:00-7:00 p.m. During the first week, practices will be held August 21, 22, and 24. After this first week, practices will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Players can be dropped off at the football field where the practices will take place. All games will be held on Saturday afternoon/evening.
The coaches will teach fundamentals and techniques that will build the foundation for the athletes to move on and be successful throughout the Tiger football program. Sportsmanship, a focus on teamwork, work ethic, and having fun playing the game of football will be at the forefront of the coaching philosophy.
This year’s coaching staff will include Kirk Stott, Robbie Miller, Nic Hatfield, Travis Stott, Matt Buford, Curt Triplett, and William Parsons.
If you have questions, please contact Kirk Stott at the High School office (660-465-8901).
