Three Memphis residents were injured when a backhoe pulled into the path of their minivan on Highway 136 in Clark County two miles west of Luray at 8:35 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26th.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, David A. Herman, 61, of Holland, IA was westbound on Highway 136 in a 2011 John Deer Backhoe when he attempted to turn south on Route A and pulled into the path of a eastbound 2006 Dodge Caravan driven by Samantha R. Brush, 49, of Memphis.
Brush suffered serious injuries in the crash. Her daughter, Jacqui Brush, 28, of Memphis suffered moderate injuries in the crash. Another passenger in the vehicle, Kevin A. Goosey, 54, of Memphis, suffered serious injuries in the crash.
Goosey and Samantha Brush were transported to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. Jacqui Brush was transported to Scotland County Hospital in Memphis.
Herman was not injured in the crash.
The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the Wyaconda Fire Department.
