Matthew Woods throws down a two-handed dunk during the Tigers big victory over Marion County on Thursday evening in Memphis.

The Mustangs busted out of the gate Thursday night with a 5-0 start, but the Tigers quickly corralled Marion County with an 18-0 run that led to a 74-14 victory in Memphis.

Jared Dunn helped fuel the rally with seven first quarter points, including a three-pointer that pushed the lead to 13-5. Jace Morrow and Will Fromm also connected from behind the arc as SCR-I rolled to a 20-6 lead at the end of the first period.

Morrow hit back-to-back threes early in the second period and Fromm capped off an 18-point first half with a pair of fast break scores that helped push the margin to 42-9 at the half.

Parker Triplett and Matthew Woods did the heavy lifting in the third period, combining for nine points as the lead grew to 56-12.

Woods capped off the win with a monstrous two-handed dunk. Fellow seniors Brock Durflinger and Kaleb Parkins got into the act as well. Durflinger sank a three-pointer from the top of the key and Parkins swatted a pair of shots on the defensive end before finishing off the victory with a bucket on an offensive rebound to make the final score 74-14.

Fromm finished with 22 points to lead all scorers as SCR-I improved to 5-10 on the year. Woods finished with 14 points and Morrow added 13.
