Rep. Craig Redmon (R-Canton) was honored with the Missouri Community College Association’s Legislative Award of Distinction at the association’s annual convention on November 6.
Redmon was one of 13 legislators recognized at the event for their strong and focused advocacy on behalf of Missouri’s community colleges and the students they serve.
Redmon represents Schuyler, Scotland, Clark, Knox, Lewis and Adair counties and was first elected in November 2010. In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Redmon owns a small business in Monticello. He previously owned and operated a convenience store. Rep. Redmon is a 1977 graduate of Highland High School, and he received his B.S. from Culver Stockton College in 1982.
The Missouri Community College Association’s annual convention is the largest professional development opportunity in Missouri solely focused on community colleges. Its four award banquets, nearly 50 breakout sessions and countless opportunities for peer to peer networking attract more than 500 attendees from across the state.
