On July 6th, 2018, we were traveling eastbound on Highway 136 west of Memphis, MO with our 12-year-old granddaughter in the back seat of our Mustang GT convertible. The top was down and we were enjoying the ride until a deer jumped into our path. The deer was killed and our Mustang was disabled.
As we were examining the damage and trying to figure out what to do when a very nice couple stopped to help. With their help we were eventually served by Memphis P.D. Captain Bill Holland and tow truck operator Kevin (Lakeside Towing), both of whom provided personable and professional assistance.
The car was towed to Walker Motors. We had family from Montrose, Iowa pick us up there.
We had some reservations about leaving our car at a small-town shop. Those concerns were alleviated later in the day when Brent Walker called. He said he was sorry about not being at the shop when our car was dropped off, but he had been out picking up parts. He explained the process and assured us that the car would be fixed right. Mr. Walker also provided updates during the repair process.
On August 3rd we picked up our car and met Mr. Walker in person. We can’t say enough good things about Brent Walker and Walker Motors. The repair job was excellent. Mr. Walker went above and beyond by fixing three door dings, so the car looks better now than when I first bought it used. We feel quite fortunate that we were near Memphis, Missouri when our Mustang was disabled.
