The Shelbina Lakeside Golf Course was the site of an eight-team golf tournament on Friday April 25th. Scotland County finished fourth in the 18-hole event with a team score of 399.
Palmyra dominated the event, carding a 321 to easily outdistance the competition. Second place went to Macon with a 357 followed by Highland with a 379. The Tigers topped Clark County (403), Monroe City (416), Paris (446) and South Shelby.
Ryan Slaughter finished strong with a 41 on the back nine to card an 87, which was seventh best overall in the tourney.
Tristen Hilpert shot a 99 for SCR-I while Ian See had a 104 and Dakota Elloitt shot a 109.
Palmyra’s Hunter Baggett finished with a two-over par 74 to win individual medalist honors. Grant O’Bryan of Monroe City and Blake Hobart of Palmyra each shot 79s with Noah Wilson (80) of Palmyra and Gavin Arnold and Nate Hilker both of Macon carding 82s to round out the top five scores.
