Five Scotland County R-I softball players were recently honored for their efforts in the classroom, earning Academic All-State honors as presented by the Missouri High School Fastpitch Coaches Association.
The team’s cumulative grade point average also earned the Lady Tigers Academic All-State honors as a team, compiling a GPA of 3.3 or higher.
An individual athlete qualifies for the Academic All-State first team if they have a cumulative GPA after the fall semester of 3.88-4.0. An individual athlete qualifies for the second team if they have a cumulative GPA at the end of the fall semester of 3.75-3.87.
Seniors Kassie Bulen and Miranda Holland were honored along with juniors Maddie, Brassfield, Abi Feeney and Chelsea Wood.
