Future Lady Tigers basketball players will be heading to camp next week at Scotland County R-I High School.
Coach Cory Shultz and his staff along with members of the varsity program will host the annual “Kitten Camp” for students entering grades 3-8.
The three-day training program will be offered June 27-29.
Players entering grades 3-5 will meet daily from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the high school gym on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. A second session will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon for students entering grades 6-8.
Cost of the camp is $15 and includes three days of instruction on fundamentals as well as a camp t-shirt.
“It is never too early to start working on fundamentals related to basketball and overall coordination that will increase success and experience in the future,” said Shultz. “I encourage any girl in our school system in grades 3-8 to come give basketball a chance.”
