Scotland County had little trouble in its second contest of the day on Saturday, blanking Schuyler County 15-0 to advance to the Lewis & Clark Conference Tournament title game on Wednesday.

Will Fromm tossed three shutout innings and SCR-I walked it off in the bottom of the third by the 15-run rule to set up a shot at the conference crown.

Parker Triplett reached on an error to start the game. He stole a base and eventually came in to score on a sacrifice fly by Fromm. Kaden Anders added a two-run triple to make the score 3-0 after one inning of play.

SCR-I made it 10-0 in the bottom of the second, sending 12 batters to the plate. Grant McRobert started the rally with a double. SCR-I took advantage of three Schuyler County errors and added RBI hits by Branton Burrus, Brady Curry and McRobert to build the big cushion.

The Tigers put the game away in the bottom of the third inning. Burrus led off with a triple and scored on an RBI single by Fromm. Anthony Whitaker followed with a base hit before Anders delivered an RBI double. After Brady Curry reached on an error, Sanchez walked it off with a  two-run single to make the final score 15-0.

Fromm picked up the win, throwing three innings and allowing just two hits and a walk while striking out six.

SCR-I pounded out 11 hits in the game, two each by Burrus, Whitaker, Anders and McRobert. Anders had a huge day, driving in three runs with a pair of extra base hits and also scoring two runs.

Scotland County improved to 8-2 on the year with the win and will take on Westran April 17th for the conference title. Harrisburg will face Schuyler County in the third place game with Salisbury and Fayette squaring off in the 5th place game and Paris and Knox County battling it out in the 7th place game.
