Scotland County Residential Terrace Car Show was held Saturday, May 17, 2014. The frosty morning cooled the residents viewing the cars, pickups and motorcycles. However, after lunch, the warm sunshine brought the residents out from hiding to see the vehicles. Games and visiting kept the car owners occupied.
This year’s Mayor’s choice was a 1968 Corvette owned by Richard Vermazen of Baring, MO.
The People’s Choice, seen here, was a 1939 Mercury owned by H. Wayne Nelson of Farmington, IA. By the way, the 1939 was the first year for Mercury, what an honor to see this car!
The residents picked red as their favorite color, and a 1934 Ford Coupe owned by Bobby Hartsock of Kirksville, MO was the favored red car.
The car with the most memories was a 1930 Ford Coupe with a rumble seat, owned by John Johnson of Memphis, MO.
The fun car was a 1990 Pontiac Convertible owned by Wanda Remely of Memphis, MO.
The fancy car was a 1984 Oldsmobile 98 owned by Eric Johnson of Queen City, MO.
