The Scotland County Fair annually produces plenty of blue ribbon performances in the show ring. But on Thursday night, July 12th the hard-working 4-H and FFA exhibitors will turn the show room over to the Scotland County After Prom Parents (SCAPP) for some entertainment of a different variety.

The 2nd Annual SCAPP Celebrity Showmanship contest will pit some of your favorite local business owners, teachers, parents and pastors against each other as they show chicken, sheep, goats and hogs, vying for the title of 2018 crown of top showperson.

Chuck Kigar took home the title from the inaugural contest in 2017, topping the nearly 50 contestant field.

The public can nominate any celebrity showperson for a $20 donation to the after-prom program. Once nominated, the showperson can “chicken out” if they really don’t want to enter the ring holding a rooster or leading a lamb, by making a $25 donation to SCAMP.

Entry forms are available at the Memphis Democrat office.
