The Scotland County Ministerial Alliance (SCMA) met November 6 at 1 p.m. at the Lutheran Church. Those in attendance were:  Mark Appold, Karen Biggs, Pam Glasgow, Dan Hite and Jack Sumption.

Several different topics were reported on during the meeting.

Pastor Hite reported that the response to the coat drive has been good.  A generous donation was made to the coat drive by Ignite Ministries.  Half will be used for purchase of hats, gloves and possibly winter boots.  The other half will be donated to the Tiger Packs.

Several years ago a local family donated funds to the Salvation Army to be used to meet local needs.  Pastor Hite is communicating with Salvation Army people in reference to receiving the funds for Scotland County needs.

C & C Contracting will be erecting the Clothes Closet building. The construction should be completed before winter.

The Community Thanksgiving Service will be held November 24 at 7 p.m. It will be held in Scotland Co. Elementary School Gym. Nathanial Orr will be leading the worship service with all kinds of music. This year’s service will be more informal.  Pam Glasgow will give attention to the program and printing of bulletins.  Non perishable food and other items will be received for the Food Pantry Emergency Room.

Next meeting will be held December 11 at 1 p.m. at the Lutheran Church.
