While the target of a Clark County arrest warrant wasn’t home when the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office came calling on August 1st, an occupant of the Arbela residence has landed in hot water after drug paraphernalia was found in her possession.

According to court documents, Melissa F. Fox, 35, of Memphis, was present at the RR 1 Box 181 Arbela address when an officer knocked on the door searching for Patrick D. Evans, who was wanted on a Clark County arrest warrant for failure to appear in court.

Fox consented for the officer to enter the residence and search for Evans. While Evans was not located, the officer identified drug paraphernalia in clear site, and after Fox allegedly took possession of the items, questioned her about the contents.

She was taken into custody for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia after the items field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Fox was taken to the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office for booking before being released with an August 29th court date.
