A Memphis woman suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash south of Memphis Sunday evening. The accident occurred on Route U, three miles south of Highway 136 at 9:35 p.m. on June 9th.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Lacey A. Miller, 20, was southbound on Route U in a 1996 Chevrolet 1500 when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Miller was flown from the scene by Air Evac Helicopter to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

The vehicle sustained minor damage and was removed from the scene by Lakeside Towing of Memphis.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office, Scotland County Fire and Rescue, Gorin Fire and Rescue, Scotland County Ambulance Service and first responders.
