A Memphis man suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident in rural Scotland County just after midnight on Monday, July 24th.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Sharon M. Good, 17, of Memphis, was southbound on County Road 214, four miles north of Rutledge when she lost control of the 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix she was driving while attempting to make a right hand turn at an intersection. The vehicle skidded off the south side of the roadway and came to rest in the ditch.

A passenger in the vehicle, Joseph D. Weiler, 21, of Memphis, suffered moderate injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt. Weiler was transported by private vehicle to Scotland County Hospital in Memphis.

Good was not injured in the accident. She was wearing a seatbelt.

The vehicle sustained total damage in the crash and was removed from the scene by the owner.
