A Memphis man is facing a felony charge of attempted enticement of a child after he was arrested in Memphis on Wednesday, August 9th by officers from the Memphis Police Department and Scotland County Sheriff’s office.

Timothy Wireman, 24, was taken into custody at Johnson Park in Memphis at 3:55 p.m. following an undercover investigation by the Kirksville Police Department’s Regional Computer Crimes Unit.

According to court documents, Wireman allegedly made arrangements via social media with what he believed to be a 13-year-old female, to meet at the park to go to his residence for sex. The contact was actually an undercover officer with the KRCCU.

Wireman was transported to the Schuyler County Jail where he is being housed on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
