Vera Monroe. a member of the Fabius Master Gardeners, took part in the group's efforts recently to plant flowers at several community sites, including the Downing House Museum.

The Fabius Master Gardeners met at the Scotland County Courthouse Monday, May 14, 2012 to plant flowers in the tubs around the courthouse.  Beverly Cole, Dora Monroe and Vera Monroe went to the Downing House to plant flowers while Bob Hunolt and Sherrie Laws went to buy flowers for the courthouse and Darrel Monroe business.  Roy Monroe pulled weeds and dug up the dirt in the planters around the courthouse while the rest of us were gone.

When we all got back we split up in groups of two and planted flowers, making sure they were watered.  We all had fun getting together and making our community look pretty.
