Linda C. Davison, 73, of Quincy, IL, passed away at 11:42 a.m. Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Good Samaritan Home.
Born June 10, 1944, in Kirksville, Linda was a daughter of Roy B. and Bertha L. Henry Norton. She was married to Carl D. Davison, and from this union three children were raised.
Linda was a member of the Crossing on 48th for 23 years. She loved going to the beach and traveling with her friends. Her most favorite trip was the vacation she took to Ireland, where she kissed the Blarney Stone, and Scotland.
A 1962 graduate of Gorin High School in Gorin, Linda was employed at the Quincy Social Security Office in the Supplemental Security Income Department for 29 1/2 years until her retirement in 2011.
Survivors include two daughters, Carla Hall (Ralph) of Liberty, IL, and Crystal Davison of Quincy, IL; a son, Carey Davison (Tammy) of Salem; eight grandchildren, Lindsay Hall and Cody Hall, both of Liberty, IL, C.J. Davison (fiancee Julie Neveln), Casey Davison, Corey Davison and Brittany Davison, all of Salem, and Arriana Benjamin and Xaivious Benjamin, both of Quincy, IL; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Dale Norton, Merle Norton, Wallace Norton, Donald Norton and Ronald Norton; and a sister, Joyce Norton.
Services were held Monday, February 26th at the Quincy Memorial Park Mausoleum as cremation rites were accorded. Memorials have been suggested to the Blessing Cancer Center or the Crossing.
Arrangements were handled by Zehender Robinson Stromer Cookson Funeral Home.
