Catfish Place Fireworks to Light Up Sky With 35th Annual Display

What started out as a few firecrackers has grown into one of the most popular pyrotechnic displays in the region over the past 35 years. The Catfish Place in Arbela will host the 15th Annual NEMO Fireworks Display on Friday night, July 3rd beginning at dusk.

Farm Groups Host Lunch and Learn Event in Wyaconda

On June 24, Missouri’s commodity groups came together to host a lunch and learn event in Scotland County. The purpose was to educate community and business leaders on the importance of animal agriculture and the pork industry. More than 70 individuals attended the event, held at Oberholtzer Farms just west of Wyaconda.

Scotland County Relay For Life Raises Over $25,000

The Scotland County Relay For Life Committee and team captains held the 2009 event wrap up meeting on June 29th. The participants were pleased to announce that this year’s Relay brought in a total of $25,197.72.
