The Gorin Alumni recently awarded three area 2015 graduating seniors with a scholarship to help them with their college expenses.  To qualify, each student must have attended Gorin R-III school for some or all of their grade school education.

Those receiving scholarships were Kaitlynn Orton, Keysha Orton and Josh Townsend.

Kaitlynn Orton and Keysha Orton are the daughters of Fred and Ginger Bass of Gorin, MO.  They both attended Gorin Grade School and are both 2015 graduates of Scotland County R-1 High School.  Kaitlynn is attending Moberly Area Community College in Kirksville, MO where she is studying Early Child Development, Special Education and Sign Language.  Keysha is attending Indian Hills in Ottumwa, Iowa where she is studying Culinary Arts.

Josh is the son of Kirk and Tina Townsend of Wyaconda, MO.  He also attended Gorin Grade School and is a 2015 graduate of Clark County High School.  John is attending John Wood Community College in Quincy, IL where he is studying Agriculture.

The Gorin Alumni wishes each of these three students good luck as they continue their educational endeavors.
